Another suggestion that's going to require a rather large change, but I think would bring a lot of value to your game, would be to turn this into a Rogue-like game.
Doing that would greatly increase the game's replayability, and make the gameplay even more interesting.
Imagine replacing the Coins system with a guaranteed Upgrade once every 10 bricks destroyed. Simply destroy 10 bricks to get to chose one out of 3 possible upgrades from the already existing ones.
Thats a very interesting approach! I am actually first considering adding achievements to this one, to unlock other special balls or powers. But I like your idea for a diferent version of BrickBreaker!
Words could never describe how much I LOVE this game. It's simply super addictive! Amazing job with this one!
However, I feel progression could be improved, as starting with Level 10, the progression slows down significantly.
At level 15, it takes around 5 minutes or more to finish a level, which means difficulty scales exponentially faster than the overall damage.
All the upgrades pricing seems to be balanced, but to keep the damage ratio scaled with the HP increment of the blocks, you should also increase the amount of Coins received per brick, as to keep up with the ever increasing difficulty.
Otherwise, this gap will get increasingly bigger, with each level taking more and more time to complete.
Either that, or lowering the bricks HP scaling formula, would achieve the same result.
Thanks Octo!!! I definitely agree that progression can be improved. More inclined to better scale the hp of the bricks, than increasing coins per bricks!

I hate to tell you this, but it still isn’t working for me. Oh, I see, it works for balls i bought since the new update, but not for ones before that.
