Growing Together: Why We're Introducing Daily Ava Credits
At Upit, our mission has always been to empower creators to bring their game ideas to life quickly, playfully, and with the best tools available. Ava, our AI game assistant, has been a huge part of that journey, helping thousands of creators dream up new games, remix old ones, and experiment faster than ever before. Until now, Ava has been entirely free to use. But as our community and usage have grown (and we love that it has!), so have our infrastructure costs. To keep Ava accessible for everyone while ensuring we can sustainably scale and keep building new features, we’re introducing a daily AI credit system. 💡 What’s Changing? Starting today, users will have a set number of AI credits each day. Any action that requires AI is charged with 1 credit. These credits refill every 24 hours. You’ll see a message when your daily limit is reached. Note that you can still manually edit the code, or upload your assets, without deduction of credits! Need more credits now? Reach out to us on Discord. We're here to help! 🧠 Why We’re Doing This We believe in being transparent with our community. This isn’t about taking something away. It’s about building something that can last and grow. By setting usage limits, we can: - Keep Ava available for everyone. - Ensure fair usage as demand increases. - Build toward a paid credits system for those who need more, without compromising free access for creators. 🚀 What’s Next? We’re working on paid plans in the future, so you’ll be able to get more AI time when you need it. And as always, we’ll keep adding features, listening to feedback, and doing everything we can to make Upit the best platform for game creation. We know this is a shift, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding as we grow. We're excited for what’s ahead, and grateful to be creating the future of game development together with this community. Thank you for growing with us, believing in Ava, and shaping the future of game creation. The Upit Team

Another AI company has served itself with "credits." I can guarantee your popularity will plummet.
And you are destroying the site and its community! This will soon be reflected in the popularity of the site. Maybe not until the end of the summer, but when people will start creating again in the fall, and there won't be many thanks. You'll soon see what crappy games will be made with such restrictions, if anyone has the patience to finish them with so much waiting for credits. It would still be a very long process to enter a contest if you were reloading all 10 credits every hour, but 10/24 hour it's impossible and useless. This site is designed for promt ai for everyone's sake, so let it work this way and not for codes. And it's a joke that it charge credits for every incorrect generation in the same way. Paid model? Why should we pay to use the site from now on?! - So far, only the same 5-6 people have been winning for months...
If you don't want people to continue using your program, just say so and that's it.
Why should I have to write even a single line of code on an AI generation site like this??? 🙃😂🤣 Many of us couldn't care less about the hundreds of lines of code that drop down during game generation — let that be Ava's problem, I don't care. Then what's the point of this engine if I still have to code, for example, just to refine things?! 10 credits is full useless! In that case, I'm better off learning to program and making my own game without limitations!
Y con los gráficos, dinámicas, colores, personajes, etc, que tú quieras, ¿O no es así? ( Esto es al último renglón)
So interesting that under this post only the like button works, but the dislike button doesn't! 🤔 surely just a glitch in the system... 🙃 You must have known in advance that this move of yours would be received very negatively! You wanted these kinds of features and design for the site, so now deal with people's opinions and criticism too!
It is pretty obvious it was going to lead to this, and it honestly is not a bad thing. But, without game monetization widely available to a majority of creators, it makes the paid plans absolutely useless to the average user. The average user on this website does not know how to code. These new users came in through Youtube sponsorships, just looking to test out this product. They then stayed for this amazing community and their slight interest for game creation. This is not the old FRVR AI, having almost every accepted user knowing how to code. You guys already knew this was going to be a very negatively taken, hence why you posted this message conveniently right as you guys were heading off for vacation. Obviously for people who got accepted to the original FRVR AI, we knew that this is necessary. But to the average user, they don't understand. They are confused on why this is happening (just look at the replies). It's pretty sad, because a lot of people started paying attention to this website. It just started feeling like this platform was growing with actual high quality game creators. The last game contest showed it, because a lot of non FRVR AI originals got some of the prize money. But, no matter what happens now, all of these new enthusiastic users are now gone. Those users will never look back. This has probably cut returning user traffic by 70-80%. Please, just ignore the private equity people for a little bit. You guys know better than them.
It would have been fair if it was 10 public game shares per day for 10 credits, or 100 credits per day, and only deducted if we don’t get an error message. BUT THIS WAY, WITH A READY CREDIT BUTTON IT WAS EVERYTHING BUT NOT FAIR! You didn’t tell us anything encouraging about what actual, tangible improvements, bug fixes, or performance boosts we would get from you in this paid credit system. You announced this without asking for our prior opinion, and that was it. Then you went off on summer break, thinking everyone’s on vacation anyway and won’t care — and that everyone will quietly accept this limitation just like that... NO! WE DO NOT ACCEPT THIS! 😡 I guess the sound generate and dislike button has also coincidentally not been working under the post ever since...
but what about hanging and failure issues and still credit count for doing nothing. you now limited the attempt of messaging so lets keep the system fair until the changes not take place credit should not count. because only 10 chance per day not even gives you perfect UI panel so think wisely not harshly. i understand credit system is demand in todays race of AI management so at least with your own 10 credit per day rules you have to gives stress-free experience to your devs and new users. i think creating Asset must not count credit will be fair enough. for coding i can understand most of devs can do it by own. just for line up things and sorting 10 credits gives us nothing. and consistently failed result consume credits will be not good user experience so think about it. and you need to redesign the whole credit system to ensure everyone at least good experience. i am nobody to tell you its just my suggestion take it or skip it as you wish thanks for giving us chance to create game hope user will still stick here to find what they looking for.
First you wait to get accepted, then you wait for Ava to finally generate something, Then repair her fail and then wait again for your daily 10 credits / 10 prompts to refill. /up/feedback/wxpk6sgkr?utm_medium=share&utm_source=link
Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of DNA in cell-thin layers that fill my body. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate
I don't mind this change but the problem I had is it bricked when I was trying to generate a game, I lost 2 credits, and it never loaded the game I designed to be coded.
So? At least Upit could accept donations OR at least make the free credits 50 or 100!
Abi hic adalet degil para kazanmak icin mesela benim 100 hakka ihtiyacım olur diyerinin 10 taneye.1 haftadan fazla başvuru kabul bekliyorum.
First you wait to get accepted, then you wait for Ava to finally generate something, Then repair her fail and then wait again for your daily 10 credits / 10 prompts to refill. Say no to Ava daily credit Agenda! /up/feedback/wxpk6sgkr?utm_medium=share&utm_source=link
Limitations are a bridge to creativity. Don't overdo it, it's not good. I support daily credits. Life isn't just about making games. I was once invited to try an app similar to Upit. They also offered daily credits. I accepted.
🤣 This feels like the same hollow speech they used to sell their sneaky credit limits!!! 🤑 A "bridge" that they’ve already closed down with restrictions... Without any prior assessment – without asking for opinions... I wonder, will you still just nod and clap when, one day to the next, start regulating your free movement, your spendings, and your everyday activities with digital credits??? 🤔 We would really appreciate it if you – and anyone else with a similarly gullible mindset – would do the rest of the creators a favor and stop giving more fuel to the masterminds behind this with your “support,” just so you can proudly say everything’s fine the way they came up with it! We’re not interested in the nonsenses of other platforms – we want to grow this one, but it's becoming harder and harder... Maybe you don’t care what they take away, no matter how nicely it’s wrapped in marketing, because you slap together your games in a single day, maxing out the daily 10 credits within 20 minutes – but others do want to keep making quality games, at least the way it was possible before, without any restrictions. Let me remind you: even back then the site didn’t go bankrupt, and they were still able to hand out prize money. But of course, in a corporate meeting it’s the easiest choice to say: “Let’s take money from the creators.” Once you seriously start working on a game, you’ll see that the daily 10 credits won’t be enough for anything, and you’ll never be ready in time to enter a competition – because every failed generation still costs credits, and you’ll end up fixing the same thing over and over, instead of already adding the next elements to your game!
Deeply disappointed! 😡 I would understand if we could use your platform to develop AAA games 🤓 or at the very least work with a proper 3D engine instead of being stuck with these tiny-screen gimmicks that you don't even allow to be shown in full on mobile, because you've reduced that too! No matter how big the screen is, the top part is still cut off. I would also understand if the platform's very existence were at risk and this was the only way to keep it running but that’s clearly not the case here! What’s not clear at all from your message is what kind of extra functionality you give to us for this. What is perfectly clear, however, is that existing features are being restricted from people, putting them at a disadvantage compared to others. Maybe, most people haven’t caught on yet because it’s summer and they don’t care at now. 😎 Good timing... 😈 But from this point on, this is anything but not a “free to use for everyone” slogan! 🤑
Hey, have you thought about what you're really supporting? Maybe you have more info from this? Or are you just going along with in because it's sound good at first and you haven't quite seen the whole picture yet? They're just putting limits on what you've already achieved easy and no one really talking about more real developments. 🤔
And you've ruined this page! 😡 10 credits for a day? 🤬 Joke! It's not enough for anything! It should be at least 100 a day, as long as Ava doesn't respond to! You're going to lock a lot of people out and they won't have a chance to enter a contest, just for few members! That's just mean! There is money for prizes and no money for basic operation?! Should people pay to try it out?! This is not fair from you! I hope many people realize this soon, it backfires on you and you will withdraw this!
And what guarantee do we get that if we pay, anything will be better? I don't see any such encouraging signs at the moment. You have been busy with the appearance of the site for a long time now and not with eliminating its initial weaknesses. But you introduced it without any question. So the answer is: NO! And forget about this whole idea.
Go fast on a nice vacation! ;) We hope you will forget about this invention of yours and not think about such crazy things as rechargeable and paid credit! WE DO NOT ASK FOR IT!
WE STRONGLY REJECT YOUR AGENDA TOO! You had the money to give $2500 to just one person, while rewarding no one else. And since then, every month it's been the same people winning the $5000 prize competitions, again and again? And now suddenly, running the site has become “too expensive,” so instead you're punishing and locking others out of creating because of credit limits? Honestly, I think you've been planning this ever since you switched from FRVR to Upit. And now everyone else is just expected to pay when their daily credits run out. Spare us the nonsense about “site maintenance costs” — the money is clearly there, you're just trying to pull it in from more sources, right? What is this marketing nonsense about “getting more time with AI when you need it”? Is that how you're trying to sugarcoat the fact that the site is becoming pay-to-use? No thanks — we were doing just fine without credits! SO I ASK — FOR WHAT EXACTLY?! For a site that’s been patched weekly since November 2024 and still doesn’t run smoothly? You could at least announce when maintenance is happening so we know not to even try logging in because nothing will work anyway. Just look at the November migration — not a single word about what you were doing, and we were greeted with a broken site. DID YOU ASK ANYONE ABOUT THIS CHANGE? NO. WAS THERE ANY KIND OF VOTE OR POLL ABOUT OPTIONS? NO. Instead, we see the same behavior here as we do everywhere else in the world today. :( If you're trying to turn this into a fully paid platform, then it’s fair to expect AVA to work like magic — not require 20 retries just to get something functional. We creators can’t even make a game the way we want — we’re just expected to be happy with whatever AVA happens to support at the moment, as long as it doesn’t crash? Everything the AVA engine is capable of now, it could already do before Upit! Everything else added since is just extra fluff! And now even the site itself doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be — you can’t find anything anymore. Even during gameplay the like button and the creator’s name are hidden, so new visitors can’t even figure out what’s what or where to find things
Congratulations to those contestants who had a lot of minus likes for their games until yesterday, and now after credits update they have the same number of upvotes! :D Interesting 😆 🤔
You guys are drunk, and is this supposed to be a bad joke?! You can’t be serious! 🤣 April Fool’s Day was a long time ago! I’d really like to know what went through your heads during that drunken brainstorming session. What exactly can you do with 10 credits, when a single instruction uses up all 10 – even if it fails to execute for whatever reason?! No matter how you rephrase things for AVA, you can be sure it’ll either throw an error or misinterpret it completely and do something entirely different – and even then, there’s no guarantee the prompt will work at all! At the very least, it should work properly, quickly, stably, and reliably! Instead, one day goes by per instruction, and then another day just to fix what it messed up. Because you can be sure it’ll manage to complete one task… but mess up two or three that were already working fine! OH RIGHT – YOU CAN CODE IN JAVASCRIPT IN THE EDITOR! :O THEN WHY EVEN HAVE THE AVA WIZARD ON THIS SITE?! :D So now I’m supposed to program instead of an AI wizard – just to save credits?! And how many months should I spend making just one game like this?? There’s no way you can make a game for a competition under these conditions. At this point, I might as well learn to code on another platform and not make someone else rich! This has nothing to do with sustainability anymore – it’s about draining every user dry while they don’t even make money from it, and magically, the same few people win every month… by coincidence, of course.
