why isn't the spaceship firing?

Sammy sam sam sam sammy, your game is alright. Its idea is fire and lit😎🔥, but it is missin content like ima give you some ideas
1. Score. Make it every second you get some score, and make a text on the top left corner that says your score, and a text under it saying your highscore., this makes it so people actually want to play
2. Make it so as time goes on, the astroid become bigger, or even faster, or think of something that changes the gameplay to make things funner.
3. Add power ups that falls from the sky, like the astroids do, but if you touch them, you get a power up, for example a powerul can be, you get a gun for 10 seconds, and it makes it so the jet shoots bullets that can destory the astroids. Another powerup can be a forcefield, it makes your invincable for 10 seconds, even if the astroid hit you.
