The game really starts like the opening of a movie. The character animation in the game moves well and is very successful. The sounds are also very good. There is a problem with the music. I think when I reset the game and go to the first screen, the in-game music plays instead of the intro music.
Thanks man, appreciate it! Just to clarify — when you say "reset the game", do you mean clicking the "Rest" button in the game menu? or actually refreshing the page (like pressing F5)? Want to make sure I understand which behavior you meant. If you mean the button in the menu — all good, it's a troll button 😄 I just forgot to switch the music track there, I'll fix it when I’m back from work. Thanks! :) But if you meant some other kind of reset... then you may have triggered the hidden audio bugs mode xD
Very very very impressive. Yes, one of the most challenging parts is making all games device-agnostic, meaning you can't assume you have a keyboard (as mobile users won't have it). If you need a joystick, you can implement one on the screen.
Hi Silas, great work! Animations look cool and I definitely got the dark souls reference. Music is pretty funny, Riffusion? If I had any critiques, it’s that the sprites could be a little bit bigger, but definitely the wisps flying around. I could barely tell what they are. Keep it up!
I’ve thought about that, but I’d probably have to scale up all the sprites and increase the damage hitbox radius too. I’ll run some tests later and see how it feels.
I couldn't roll very good but the look of the game is great just do more control for the roll so we don't die so quickly :'( .
Yeah, from what I’ve seen we’re limited to mouse controls only, so I don’t have full freedom with movement. If you hold the mouse button, the character walks slowly, and if you swipe, they roll in that direction. If I could make the game use WASD + a roll button, I wouldn’t even hesitate That’s also why I added a mechanic where every time you die, you get +1 heart of max health 🙂(max 20)
make the character change direction when he is on the left side he looks to the right and when he is on the right side he looks to the left, you can do it "make the player change direction when moving to the sides from the middle of the screen". check my game "dragon islands" you will understand :) .
