PetalPop
Hi everyone, blackwidowink here again. Wow, that month flew by and the contest deadline is already here. I wish I could say that I finished everything I wanted to with this game, but life just has a way of, well, getting in the way. As a father of two, who works two different jobs, I worked on this game on my lunch breaks and in my spare time. As such, it was developed nearly 100% on mobile. I think it’s a fun experience and I hope everyone enjoys it. Feel free to send any criticisms or ideas my way, because the game isn’t quite done! To be added: - special flower types for arcade - all of the music and sound - possible other modes? I’m super stoked to be a part of this community and I feel like I grew a lot while developing PetalPop. Here’s to the future of AI game development here at Upit!

I absolutely love this game, it feels really well polished and responsive, and has a really cool mechanic.
My only "criticism" would be regarding the amount if details on the flowers. Considering you have 64 tiles on the board at the same time, the amount of petals can become visually cluttered, making it a bit difficult to distinguish between elements. The fact all flowers are also similarly shaped, makes it hard to tell them appart, when having to constantly move your eyes on the board all the time to keep track of the new changes.
The Green Flowers are also pretty difficult to tell apart from the base flowers, both being predominantely covered by green, so it requires more attention to tell them appart.
But this is a really nice game, and I'll definitely be following you from now!
I appreciate the kind words, but more than that, thank you for your well thought out criticism! That means a lot. Sometimes it’s hard to see the flaws of your work and having others to give feedback is super helpful.
