Just played this latest version. I think I would move the score information up so it sit's above the gameover overlay and then still trigger game over right away.
Alternatively show a progress bar to game over is called, it feels a bit broken right now.
Ok, I made a small update to fix the score information and gameover delay as you described. Think it plays smoother now :)
Much better on desktop, but did not realize this was not a good solution for mobile 🤦♂️
Oh, just checked, and you're right. I guess I could actually just add the scores as they happen instead of displaying a score calculation on game over.
Love the style of this! Would be super cool if the bonus rings had a different background color.
Thanks, this version implements a lot of the stuff suggested by @Epic on discord. It isn't published publically yet, but yet somehow still appeared in a post here, so I guess it's time to get feedback from whoever finds it. Any tips for improvement will be appreciated :)
And you're right about the bonus rings, so I've just pushed a small update with a new and brighter graphic for the rings. Now their color-tint values shine through more clearly than with the previous graphic. And the bonus rings are now white, whereas the normal rings cycle through the whole color wheel.
By the way, it would super useful to be able to upload a custom graphic for the rings/orbits, as I've been spending an hour or more prompting the AI for a simple solid-color white ring of the right proportions in dozens of different wordings, whereas it took me just 2 minutes to make the required graphics asset myself in illustrator - but with no way to upload it. It seems the image GenAI is super for more creative assets, but a bit frustrating to work with when it comes to stricly geometrical shapes that need to have certain proportionate dimensions. And if image upload is not an option, maybe we could get more primitives than the circle and square to work with in the editor, such as torus, star-shapes and other vector primitives known from graphics editors? And possibly selection tools for adding/subtracting as well? I know it would speed up my workflow in this case at least :)
Basically, I would like to use this asset for the orbits, because the current orbits aren't perfectly round: https://creativesparkstudios.com/temp/frvr/orbit-001.png
