aslında oyun söylediğimden çok daha güzel ama remix olduğunu görünce patladım orjinalden daha iyi ama evet yeni şeyler eklene bilir
I didn't expect from you doing a classic tower defense game but this really is out of the box XD
I had two games going actually, the other is also out of the box. I hope to finish the other some day.
Incredible game! so detailed! The best on the game contest so far. Great animations and attention to details🔥
By far the most original game in the contest, how did you come up with the idea? 😄 I really enjoyed playing it! Just a small suggestion: instead of a life system, you could use a balance system where the damage equals the value on the enemy chip, and the player loses when the balance reaches zero. That would fit the poker theme much better.
Thank you! I based the idea of a merge/tower defense on a game I played years ago: Random Dice. I originally wanted to make the game more fantasy themed, with units like warriors, mages, etc, but I realized what made Random Dice so easy to play was the recognizability of the dice and how easy it was to tell their values at a glance. I didn’t want to blatantly copy the other game, so I decided cards are pretty universally recognized, and here we are! Great idea about the poker chips and life value, I’ll look into it. I feel like this game has lots of room to grow.
I liked the content and idea of the game very much. My experience while playing: I can say that the opponent has difficulty in improving their own cards and that a help button that gives clues for card improvement could be useful. I'm waiting for the improvements :)
Thanks, urazim. I made the AI very dumb during the tutorial round and it only slowly improves. As you obtain more card mods it gets harder. I’ll work on the balance. As far as a help button, do you mean for the poker hands? Thanks for your feedback.
@blackwidowink You have done a great job in explaining the tutorial part, but I wanted to suggest the idea of stopping the game in the corner and gathering the explanations on a single page instead of starting from scratch for those who forget some of the rules while playing. There are people who skip those parts quickly on their first play, like me lol
@urazim I suggested it as a feature to be added in my spare time after I felt like the game was fully finished
Awesome game concept everything looks super clean I played 3 matches and you immediately gave me a boost of motivation to work on my own update xD I’m wondering, do you plan for the opponent to upgrade their cards too? Or is that something that happens on higher difficulty? Because during my matches, they always had level 1 cards. As for the token waves it was hard to notice since I was destroying the tokens pretty fast, but do both the player and the opponent get exactly the same tokens wave layout? I feel like I’d add some cards that interfere with the other side. Maybe everything I just wrote is already in the game and I just need play more I literally just woke up, saw your game released, checked it out quickly, and now I’m off to play a bit of "real life" 😄 The game is really enjoyable it has that ‘just one more match’ effect. I’ll definitely test more later today ;)
Hey, thanks Silas. I appreciate the feedback. I purposely made the tutorial round super easy along with the first couple rounds, because I find I can’t gauge difficulty on my own. I’m hoping to improve the balance based on feedback. The AI does get harder and start actually playing the game. Currently both sides get the same waves, with a boss on every 10 and doubling difficulty after bosses. I do plan on adding a lot more card mods and having mods to mess with the opponents boards are on the way. Thanks again!
