Why the downvotes?
I've recently noticed that in my notifications it says I have plenty of upvotes over the last few weeks for Chicken Jockey: Popcorn Pheasant, but never once had it said someone has downvotes, but when I checked today it says -3 which would mean it's being downvoted more times than it's upvoted? Is this an error? I did notice earlier that it sat at 1 (my own) upvote even though my notifications had signified other people had upvoted it so it is definitely possible it's showing up incorrectly. If people are downvoting it, I'm open to any constructive criticism so please let me know why and what I can do to make it better. Thanks everyone who has been playing the game and joining the channel. I appreciate the support. 🐔✌🏼🙏

The same thing happened to me. My upvotes were going up, then they just stopped. A little later, I saw someone else had upvoted it, so I took a look. The vote count was '0'! I couldn't believe it. It's a really awful feeling. I completely understand how you feel.
It's a shame, but like others have said don't let it bother you. It isn't a reflection of what people are really thinking about your game. When I'm looking through my notifications and seeing how many people it says have actually upvoted, it is extremely encouraging. I'm very grateful for all the support and kind words. Good luck glaud!

That’s why I once said on Discord that contests based on using connections, spamming links, and expecting an objective evaluation completely miss the point. I get that it’s also about promotion Upit, but surely no one with a brain thinks the results will be fair?right?I didn’t share my game anywhere outside the Upit community Discord It’s better to have a handful of people who were genuinely interested in your game and give you honest feedback. Don’t pay attention to the ratings at all and good luck in the contest! :)
Thank you and good luck to you also😊.. I completely agree, and I really do appreciate all of those who are genuinely interested in the game. I haven't let this bother me one bit, was just surprised when comparing my notifications about upvotes on the game with what was showing on the post. I guess we don't get notified when the post has been downvoted either so it's hard to keep track of who's doing it. My kids and I have been loving playing everyone's games on here and being able to create our own has been an amazing experience. Honestly the contest was just a bonus and the meme related theme was right up our alley. I love upit and the community here so far has made me feel very welcome and encouraged to keep working on new ideas for future endeavours.

Don't take it personally! :) I think the only thing that could have happened is that "thanks to" the "Community Favorite - upvotes" point of the current memecontest game announcement, the site is starting to be invaded by hired trolls, like in social media, who like friends or payers, and pull everyone else down without thinking, not even thinking about how much everyone works on a game to make it work at all. I also just watched a lot this weekend in surprise at how suddenly I observed big fluctuations on my profile. :O I don't want to be right about that, but it might only get worse once the site becomes world-famous. I wish you perseverance and further good creations! ;)
I appreciate your response and explanation... I noticed the sudden increase of users following recently as well. The plays went up on my game so I didn't think much of it till I saw my votes at -3. I won't take it personally lol. Thanks for the wishes, I wish you all the best as well. 😊

Yes I noticed this too, especially in the last two days (from around May 16). My suggestion to the organizers is that all downvotes should be ignored and only upvotes should be used to decide (if that's possible) @benjaminsen
